Our Contract

At Aged to Perfection Upholstery (ATPU) all purchases will be carried out under the terms stated within this agreement. Unless prior to written agreement to the contrary these terms shall be incorporated as conditions of any order, quotation or contract accepted by the business. ATPU has taken every care in the preparation of the content of our literature and website, in particular to ensure that prices specified are
correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described. We make every effort to display the colour of the furniture as accurately as possible. However, as colour reproduction depends on your
screen, we cannot guarantee that your screens display of the colour is accurate to the actual product.

To help ensure that you purchase the sofa colour of your choice we will endeavour to send out a sample swatch of your chosen colour. Goods shall remain the sole and absolute property of ATPU as legal and equitable owner until such time as the purchaser has paid the full amount of the price of the goods to ATPU together with the full price of any other goods the subject of any other contract with ATPU. ATPU will be entitled to assign, sub-contract or sub-let any contract to ensure any agreement in place is met to the agreed standard. All contracts will be construed and operate in accordance with English Law. The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract.

Our products are chosen on the basis that they will be used for domestic use. If you are planning to use them for business purposes please make sure that you are covered by the appropriate insurance. Where you decide to use the products in the course of a business, we exclude (to the fullest extent permitted by law) those warranties and conditions relating to fitness for a particular purpose unless otherwise agreed by contract. Our maximum liability to business users arising out of or in connection with the products shall be limited to the replacement value of the product in question (except in the case of death or personal injury
caused by our negligence or in respect of fraud). In relation to business users, we do not accept liability for the fitness of goods for business purposes, nor do we accept liability for loss of use of the item nor any loss over and above the cost of the item in the event of a claim for breach of warranty or condition.

All our sofa’s are suitable for general domestic use only unless a specific service is carried out. For commercial use, we do not accept any responsibility or liability for safety standards or compliance. Your satisfaction is important to us so if you have any complaints about your product or service we have provided then we would like to know. Please contact us with the details about your complaint and a member of our team will contact you to resolve the situation.


Due to the bespoke nature of our business, it is your responsibility to ensure the specifications you choose are correct. ATPU will produce the furniture to your exact specifications so please ensure all measurements are correct and you have chosen the correct frame and fabric options required. ATPU is not responsible for mistakes in any specifications provided by you i.e. wrong measurements provided for a sofa resulting in the product not fitting. We will however provide help and support and endeavour to ensure that all specifications are clarified and correct before production begins. Any issues regarding specification may result in additional charges for parts and labour. Additionally, ATPU is not responsible for any damages such as scuffs or tears to your property from our products, all measures have been put in place to minimise or remove the possibility of this happening.


Payment methods include debit or credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Delta/Connect or Maestro. Payments can be made electronically by bank transfer, details will be provided on request. ATPU do not accept any responsibility for cash sent in the post and strongly recommend that you do NOT use this method of payment.

Any agreements that are processed through finance will be in line with the terms and conditions presented by Payl8r / Social Money Ltd and not the responsibility of ATPU. Any future enquires regarding any purchases under finance must be taken up with Payl8r / Social Money Ltd ATPU hold the right to suspend any work without the agreed payment.

Prices are based on individual quotations specific to requirements of the product or service. Prices displayed within the website will include all work needed to produce the product excluding delivery. When a price is not displayed, this website will provide a configuration of a product but an additional quotation process may be implemented to create a price. All prices are based on volume, fabric type, accessories and cost of labour. Additional delivery charges may also be included. Our normal price is the non-discount price that a product has been offered at, or will be offered at, in the near future.

Our design and manufacture expertise also helps us to set very competitive normal prices because we know what a product should cost and what goes into making it. Throughout the year, we may offer some of our products to you at a discount. The duration of the discount offer on any product is never longer than the time at the normal price. here the normal price is a future price (usually shown as an after event price) this is the minimum price we intend to charge once the offer has ended. Market forces beyond our control may sometimes mean we may need to increase the normal price.

Computer Damage

ATPU makes every effort to ensure that our website and downloads are free from viruses or defects. However, due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that your use of this website won’t affect your computer. It is recommended that you purchase the right firewall and antivirus software to use this and other websites and screen out anything that may damage it. ATPU shall not be liable in the very unlikely event that while using this website your computer equipment is damaged.


You will be informed of the likely approximate length of time until delivery at the point of order. Once your order is confirmed as available for delivery we will contact you to agree definite arrangements for the date of delivery. Every effort is made to see that the approximate delivery date is accurate, but on rare occasions the manufacture of your furniture may be delayed through circumstances beyond our control. Additionally, if you need to rearrange the delivery date you must inform us 48 hours before the intended delivery. Depending on the amended time/date of delivery, a storage charge may be applied. We will, of course, make every effort to keep you informed.

On the day of delivery, please ensure that the delivery team can gain easy access to the room that the furniture is going into. Please make sure that the area you want the furniture placed is cleared. Our delivery team will unpack your furniture, install it in the room of your choice and if you wish we will remove all packing materials from your home and recycle wherever possible.

Unfortunately, we are not able to take away your old furniture. To make sure you are completely satisfied with your furniture the delivery team will conduct a spot check and ask you to sign for your furniture after it has been installed. We may also on occasion hire a courier service to deliver and install the furniture on our behalf.


Should you wish to return the goods we have delivered you will have 14 days to inform us of the cancellation. You will then have an additional 14 days from the date we are notified to arrange the return of the product.

We understand that returning the product yourself may not be applicable so we will be able to arrange collection, in such circumstances a charge of up to 20% of the price of the furniture will be made to cover the cost of collecting the items. Once collected you will receive a refund 14 days after the product is returned to site. Refunds will only be granted to the person who placed the original order and it will be your responsibility to take good care of the furniture.

You are the owner of the furniture once it has been delivered to you and you are liable for any loss or damage. We are entitled to refuse a refund if an item is damaged by trying to repair it yourself or getting someone else to do it. We always strive to please our customers so you may be asked the reason for return to minimise any issues in the future.


At ATPU we are so confident in the quality of our furniture that we offer a 10 year guarantee on our frames and a 1 year guarantee on our fabrics and leathers and additional products such as cushions. The guarantee starts from the date of delivery and offers cover against manufacturing defects on the construction of the frame. There are some things that aren’t covered by your guarantee. For example, deliberate damage – like treating it roughly or not using the right products to maintain it. It also doesn’t cover your sofa for use in a workplace or business – only for use in your home. And, don’t forget your 15 year guarantee only belongs to you. So if you sell or give away your sofa, the guarantee ends.

As a consumer you have certain rights regarding defective goods and this guarantee is given in addition to and not in substitution of your statutory rights. This guarantee applies to mainland UK only. Additionally, any product bought directly from the ATPU website or from talking to the team here at ATPU we will always carry out repairs to your furniture within the first year of purchase at no additional charge. Any repairs or services can be carried out after the guarantee period has ended under the discretion of ATPU but may we may charge a service fee.

Sharing of Images

We are very proud of the work we produce and want to share this with potential new customers. To do this we will on occasion take pictures of our installations prior your verbal and/or written consent. This will then be used to promote our services on our website and our social media streams. This will strictly be a picture of our product and the surrounding area; we will do our best to remove any form of personal identifiers from the picture unless otherwise agreed. If you wish for these images not to be used please make this request in writing to our base of operations and allow time for us to remove this image.

Under no circumstances must our images be used to promote a competitor, all images remain the property of ATPU and must not be misrepresented.

Data Protection

At ATPU we understand that your privacy is important to you and that you care about how your personal data is used. We respect and value the privacy of all of our customers and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described in our privacy policy. Under the GDPR 2018 (General Data Protection Regulation), we must always have a lawful basis for using personal data. This may be because the data is necessary for our performance of a contract with you, because you have consented to our use of your personal data, or because it is in our legitimate business interests to use it.

The minimum amount of personal data we gather will only be collected to meet a contractual agreement. We will only keep data for the purpose of an agreement and follow the retention period guidelines set out by the information commissions office (ICO). Once your data is no longer needed or the retention period is over it will be securely destroyed.
